Irganox 1098 is the trade name for benzenepropanamide, N,N'-1,6-hexanediylbis[3,5-bis(1,1-dimethylethyl)-4-hydroxy, an antioxidant manufactured by BASF primarily used to stabilize various polymers, especially polyamides. It is noted for its thermal stability as well as its non-discoloring properties.
A hindered phenolic primary antioxidant with excellent compatibility with polyamide and low coloring on materials.
It is used to improve the long-term thermal stability of polymer materials and has excellent compatibility with polyamide.
Recommend Dosage of Antioxidant 1098:
1098 is especially suited for po- lyamide in a great diversity of applications including fibres, automotive, electrical, construction, household and machinery made by injection molding as well as extruded articles and powder coatings. Recommended also in polyacetals, polyesters and polyurethanes.
Antioxidant 1098 can be widely used for nylon 6, nylon 66, PE, PP, PA, rubber and so on.
